Player Bio

Sebastian began his soccer development at the age of nine and joined Fox Soccer Academy (FSA) at age ten. FSA is owned and operated by Christian Fuchs, former Premier League player for Leicester City F.C. and former assistant coach of MLS side Charlotte FC. It was at FSA that Sebastian discovered his passion for goalkeeping, dedicating himself to the position and training almost daily to refine his technical and tactical skills.

At age eleven, Sebastian trained under Sam Guthrie, former goalkeeper for Gateshead FC, utilizing the OKKULO training system newly implemented at FSA. This advanced, data-driven goalkeeper training significantly accelerated his development and was tested in high-level competition at the Mare Nostrum Cup in Spain. In addition, Sebastian participated in the New York Red Bulls RDS Goalkeeper Program, multiple elite summer camps, and Goalie Wars events, further broadening his competitive experience.

Competitive Success (UPSL)

During the 2023/24 season, as a twelve-year-old, Sebastian was selected as the starting goalkeeper for the FSA U13 UPSL team, coached by Marco Barahona, former New York Red Bulls Academy goalkeeper coach. He maintained a demanding training schedule of five sessions per week, including team training, specialized goalkeeper sessions, and individual technical work. That season, the team advanced to the playoff final in FSA’s inaugural UPSL league campaign.

In 2024, following his family’s relocation to Sarasota, Florida, Sebastian joined Florida Premier FC, where he earned the starting goalkeeper position with the ECNL RL U13 team. Under the guidance of Warren Steenkamp, Sebastian continued to elevate his goalkeeping performance through intensive, position-specific training.

At the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, Sebastian’s performances drew the attention of Steve Searing, MLS NEXT Director for Chargers SC. He was invited to trial with the club’s MLS NEXT Homegrown Division and subsequently earned a roster spot. For the 2025/26 season, Sebastian joined Chargers SC as the starting goalkeeper for the U14 MLS NEXT team and continues his development within the MLS NEXT pathway.

Role Models & Philosophy

Sebastian draws inspiration from elite professional goalkeepers Carlos Coronel and Wojciech Szczęsny, whom he regards as his primary role models. He closely studies their playing styles, particularly their shot-stopping ability, command of the penalty area, distribution, and composure under pressure. In addition, Sebastian is a passionate supporter of FC Barcelona, New York Red Bulls, and Orlando City SC, clubs whose playing philosophies and goalkeeper development pathways strongly influence his own approach to the game.
